Abstract
Of the 50 cases of suspected contact dermatitis, 23 cases showed positive reactions to one or more of the allergens of the commercial cosmetic test kits or patient's own cosmetics by patch test.
Cobalt chloride, fragrance mix and Balsam of Peru were most commonly identified agents.
By product category, lip-make up preparations dominated as the cause of the cosmetic contact dermatitis on the lip and face.
